"Messy..."
Version: Safe Chat Standard Edition 3
Cons
Didn't like the set-up of the program. Decided I didn't like it and tried to uninstall, but it was very difficult. Took WAY longer than it should have to uninstall. I do not recommend this product.

"not that good"
Version: Safe Chat Standard Edition 3
Pros
I like that it works with msn aol/icq and yahoo.
Cons
It makes explorer crash on Vista. I can't get my messenger working after uninstalling. Main screen is too big, so I can't have other applications showing at the same time.

"still needs much work"
Version: Safe Chat Standard Edition 3
Pros
Supports Multiple - Accounts, Providers, and Blocks access to windows messenger and live messenger.
Cons
Interface is clunky - still requires substantial work in appearance and function.
Interface is complicated for novice users (like parents who have computer savy kids)
Program seems to be overly processor intensive for budget systems (recommend a fast system)
Uninstall will cause MSN Messenger to become permanently disabled. The Uninstall is lacking the ability to restore your system to it's pre-safechat state.
Uninstall requires a 2 step process that should be condensed into a single step for ease of use for novice users.

"No more reading. This is the best product for my family."
Version: Safe Chat Standard Edition 1.8.3
Pros
What do I like about it? I no longer have to read these monitoring reports to find out what my kids have been up to. I have 3 kids and I work full time, by the time I get home I'm tired most of the time, and I don't want to go through and read the reports to see what my kids have been up to. With this product, I can just approve only their friends that I know. Simple. I feel good. And I really like their mask keywords feature, I enter in my kids name, our names, address, phone #, school, etc... so if they accidentally type our phone number, it will shows as *****. Great stuff. Saw this on my local TV review.
Cons
Nothing to report at this time. I wish I found this sooner.

"A very helpful tool for those with children chatting online"
Version: Safe Chat Standard Edition 1.8
Pros
This is what I have been looking for a long time. Now with Safe Chat, I dont have to constantly monitor my kids when they are chatting online. I would recommend to any parent to install on every computer they have at home.
Cons
Nothing major, only more room to enter text

"see my stars rating and you know"
Version: Safe Chat Standard Edition 1.8
Pros
Found this out from a friend. Tried it. Love it. It does what they claimed. I'm happy. My husband even try to go around it and was unsuccessful. Great jobs guys, we will tell others. Thanks.
Cons
Hard to find on the internet. At first I did not know what to look for, so I have to ask my friend again. Maybe it will be easier when I help spread the word.

"I am not scared that I have kids on net now!"
Version: Safe Chat Standard Edition 1.8
Pros
What I can say, I did not thought that is something like this that, a tool that can block the acces of my kids to the unwanted porno sites and porno materials (you see it is not nice to see your kid ask you *** is that and you will have to stay and explain, sweethard it is a butterfly :) ), and to the unwanted chat sites, where they usually stay and chat. I do not know how your kids are, but I know that mine really like to chat, I think they are like their father. This is not a problem at all to chat when you are with the mind grown, but when you are a kid, a lots of duds want to take advantages of your family memebers. It is true if you develope a fence on your yard, you force the wife, or the kids to look and see what is outside of it. This is what happend with relations too, but with the kids, well.... there is no excuse to not protect them. They are kids, and even the law say they are kids, wich mean no law responsability and no much protection. I was looking on tv, and I saw a lots of duds from CA and other states having sex with young ones. I felt terrible and I made some search in google, and finaaly I found this.I was a little not sure because of the name of the company that was doing this, and I tried something from bigger ones before but they have lack of features. Now, I am preatty happy, cause they kids can chat, and I can authorise who can chat with my ADN investiment. :)And also I like that kids like mine Anne and Marius, do not feel strangle with. One time when she seen the new app I installed in her kid laptop, Anne asked me: Daddy, daddy what is with that lock and the smile face? And I told her, is an elf that protect you from the bad guys.(and you also realised that a ton of question flood my mind that time, with why why...). But what really matter is this software protect them. I tried to see the weackeness of the sistem, but till now I found none.
Cons
I hope in the new version the safe chat will have a video chat feature.(hmm, I just anexious to see how they get solution to make it safe video chat?) I will let thouse guys to use their brain.

And also I am thinking some how a safe chat for my wife:), to keep it safe from my neighbours, she is sexy and you realise what problems I have in a McDonalds Dream Land Looking. I know I am funny, but who knows! I want her safe and mine :) I call this a virtual condom for not prepared minds.

"Wow - it actually DOES what it claims! FANTASTIC!!"
Version: Safe Chat Standard Edition 1.8
Pros
I can't believe that Safe Chat has just been released. This should have been invented a long time ago. This one product lets me connect to my Yahoo and MSN messenger accounts from the same control panel. When I leave the home, I KNOW my children can not do what I have forbidden them to do when using my online access. It's WONDERFUL. I set the rules and they are forced to follow them. I determine who they can chat with and when they try to go to a chat site on the internet, their sessions are denied! Wham. BRAVO! Of course, they tried to access the parental control settings, but they are password protected. It's smarter than my kids! HA! The software even alerted me at work that they tried and we had a "discussion" about it when I returned home from work. I somehow "forgot" to mention this feature to them. I want to trust my children to be good, but I don't trust who they interact with if I can't see them at my house.
My kids can only interact with their friends that I approve and it allowed me to refuse access to MySpace.com too! Hurray! I stongly recommend Safe Chat protection to any parent!!
Cons
No real complaints yet. As always, I'd like more room to type text in the chat box, but I think the limit is imposed from the IM services end.
