    "Excelenet software! Very simple with user-friendly GUI"

    July 7, 2010  |   By Amar_MK

    Version: SWF Protector 3.0.1.191

    Pros

    Simple to use
    Has Flash 10 and CS5 files support.
    Crashes the most popular Flash Decompilers
    Drag and Drop interface
    Affordable price

    Cons

    I was expecting more features, like domain lock protection

    Summary

    Yes, I can say it is the best ActionScript obfuscator I have ever used. Works like a charm, does not break my games, very reliable. Tested it agains Sothink and Trillix decompiler, and the teste was successful, as a result both decompilers were crashed.
    I do like 4 security algorithms available in this tool... But would like to see more options. Hope in new versions more functionality will be available.
    Summary it is a great tool which actually works as it should.

    "This is an excellent tool! Try it!"

    March 26, 2010  |   By Roy_8

    Version: SWF Protector 2.0.1.168

    Pros

    - low price
    - pretty simple and reliable
    - cross-platform (Linux, Windows Mac)
    - command line interface available
    - batch file protection in Simple mode (AS2+AS3)
    - choice of protection method and its intensity in Advanced mode

    Cons

    - it renames original file to original_"name".swf and protected leaves the the same name

    Summary

    I must say I?m really impressed. It is an excellent tool. The interface is just perfect and it was begging for a drag and drop of the SWF, which I did and it worked wonders. Moreover I had to do nothing, absolutely nothing, just drag the file and click a button.
    It was perfect! Just like I imagined it.

    Summary, if you want to protect compiled SWF file so there are several solutions like SWF protector from DComSoft, secureSWF from Kindisoft and SWF Encrypt from Amayeta software. I do have investigated/tested them all and the conclusion is following:

    - SWF Protector - as for me it is pretty nice and reliable, simple/user-friendly and cheap. So that is why I am using it;

    - secureSWF - reliable and very professional, but as for me - complicated, more expensive of course and from time to time broke my flash games;;

    - SWF Encrypt is very expensive for me and actually I don`t know why... maybe there are some powerful algorithms... I have checked the code using decompiler and found nothing except some cycles. Although I am not a very good programmer.

    As for the price, SWF Protector gives all the functionality for just 40$, in the same time prices for secureSWF and SWF Encrypt start from 100$ and have limitations.

    Regards,
    Roynald

    Maybe someone knows anything about this?

    As for the encryption... I can say that it is useless because it means that the key which was used to encrypt the code should be placed inside the same protected swf file, so you can simple decrypt it. Of course you should know something about cryptography :)))
