"Even free, it;'s not very effective."
Pros: But, hey, you get what you pay for. Other then the spyware guard, it's the same application as the paid version. It runs fine with "Vista" but unlike someone else, I had no problems uninstalling it. Maybe thats on "Vista'. But I have no doubts it could be a problematic application. I've read some reviews and comments that said "you can never be over protected". I just don't think thats true. With good software installed, extra applications that you don't use often aren't necessary, just wasted disk space. But, I guess if you are depending on free security for your computer, it can't hurt to have it.
Cons: It ran slow, even on a powerful machine. It found nothing. The GUI reminds me of "AVG Free" , it's horrible. The data base is small. Very small if you compare it to "A-Squared Free 3". It's much better at everything then this one and has a huge data base. Thats what I recommend if you need a good, free, malware scanner.

Those that don't like it seem to have a good alternative, and complain about uninstalling, and real-time speed. In my case, I don't care about real-time protection, i had to clean up an existing mess. I tried a lot of other software and did not find a good cleaner, so have nothing else that works for me, so this program is the clear champion for me. Hooray for SAS!

Ran slow,i do not think so,i tried it ran just as fast as any other antispy program,in fact it ran faster than some,maybe you need to upgrade your computer ,maybe your computer needs more ram,the data base is in fact larger than most paid programs,please check your facts,check your computer,this program works just fine!!!!!
