This software version | All versions -
Version: SSIS Documentation Generator for SQL Server 2005. Document your SSIS Packages. 2
Pros: Creates a nice html page and folder containing all of the graphic files needed for the page. There are details on the web page extracted from the package that you would not get unless taking the package apart piece by piece. Easy addin with Visual Studio. ran command line to get html page and folder
Cons: It looks like a good 'Work In Progress' in the downloaded version. Not ready to pay $139.00 but
would if the product was finished.
Could not get text format documentation. Could not get xml format. Would like to see SSIS PKG variables. Would like to see 'expressions' where properties potentially change during run time. I was suprised that there was not a detail window showing the actual SQL for SQL Script Tasks.
The software download has no supporting documentation had to try to figure out how to work with it myself.
