Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.9.0.4
"EXCELLENT SOUND TOOL"
Pros: I have used this for a few years, it was my first exchange of cash for services on the Internet and have been pleased ever since, it is a must have on each computer change and like it better than some other built in hd sound and use it as primary
Cons: It does have some bugs but not too serious. changes settings comes up in wrong apps but they are minor compared to how good the sound it; a trade off I am willing to make. started as a must due to awful laptop speakers now with 5.1 enhancers
Summary: I only risked using my credit card on line back when I got these out of need. I had a laptop with awful sound but fair sound card so tried SRS out of desperation and was willing to try almost anything. I got lucky and have stayed with these and am currently using them with the 5.1 audio I have built in not because that is bad now but that the choices offered by Sandbox enhance the sound easily and much more naturally. I do not usually use or like the HD enhancements offered from within the apps as they sound un natural which is what some want but i want the more vibrant bass and sharp treble and even the voice is rendered much clearer in straight interviews. It really adds to whichever hd audio cardi use and will keep on using it as long as it stays available. I use windows 7 64 home premium now and there is a driver i just got which makes it less quirky, more stable. I have always experienced very minor bugs or annoyances but it is worth it so far.
