Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.5.1
"Bests my 'puter's SRS factory pre-add"
Pros: Here's why I really like it --- I'm mostly deaf in one ear, and do the majority of my music listening through headphones. This version of SRS/Wow technology is by far the sweetest in allowing me to hear the music in the fullest stereo possible, by its ability to trick both my good and bad ear into experiencing the music as if I'd had almost no hearing loss in my bad ear. Even ye olden Beatles extreme-stereo recordings are rendered so that the isolated left and right channels seem to me to be full-sounding yet still separated. And I love how I get to fiddle with so many aspects of the sound to arrive at what sounds best to my own ears. Two grateful thumbs up!
Cons: At first when I tried this, I thought the bass was lackluster. Then I came to find I had the Focus and Definition levels too high; lowering these allowed me up increase overall volume and experience excellent bass. So, for me - one con, rendered moot by experimenting.
