"Great sound improvenent"
Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.10.2.0
Pros
Significantly improves the sound. Bass boost, voice clarity, 3D sound. Varius modes to choose from: when you are listening to music, or watching a movie, etc.
Cons
Sound is looping in some cases, specially when I turn the volume too high and sometimes it conflicts with voice chatting. Everything else all fine.
Summary
I like this product because it really increases the experience of sound. Since I 've been using it, sound is more deep and powerful, it's like this is the sound output as it should be! I like the bass boost and the 3D sound improvements, used it with my 2.1 speakers set and works like a charm.
Although, there are some things that I didn't really like. When I turn the volume a bit higher, sound starts "looping" in some parts. Well it's not actually looping, but sounds like a "bzzt" while playing a song. Also it conflicts with voice chatting when I talk in MSN, sometimes it mutes all sound and I have to restart it.
Overall, problems are minor compared to improvements. It worth those money to spend specially if you care about the sound output a lot. I Think It's great.
Anyways, looking forward for some version to improve every bug. -

Summary
I am using this for just two days, I found it very nice software than my previous experimenting with dfx. My PC specs are Intel DG31Gl motherboard, Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200, 1 GB RAM, Windows xp Professional. I have 4.1 subwoofer. I also heard it in headphone. It is really nice. I love this software very much.

"very good sound booster"
Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.10.2.0
Pros
-improved sound clarity
-multitude of options
-acts at a driver level (application independent)
-does not require much PC horsepowerCons
-the initial setup is not that intuitive
Summary
I use this product with the following setup:
HW: Realtek ALC882 integrated audio chipset, over a VSX 416 amplifier on Magnat Monitor 800 Supreme
SW: WMP 12 on Windows 7, with DFX for WMP (latest version), no EQ or SRS effects enabled. From the driver, I have set the EQ to powerful and Loudness Equalization.
What I can tell you, as a previous user of iTunes (in conjunction with VolumeLogic 1.4) and Zune PC Software and PowerDVD 10, is that this combination has proven to be the best yet.
Nothing out there comes close to this software (DFX, or whatever audio enhancer, you name it).
This SW is absolutely amazing, and it really boosts the lost frequencies on your speakers. It is also true that you might need a pair of hi-fi speaker to crank that fidelity notch (i think mine are just ok, not hi-fi), but it will be worth it.
The initial setup was a bit confusing, because it picked up the integrated ATI HDMI HD Audio output, then after I set it on my Realtek Output still I had no sound, but after reinforcing the latter option, I got what I wanted. Previous versions also could have caused some problems with the audio drivers.
Another big thing about the 1.10 update is that is compatible with Windows 7 which is quite important for me.
Other than this, highly recommended and you really needn't crank the sliders very much to tell how good it is. -
"Useful and defined sound"
Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.10.2.0
Pros
Really good user interface.
Very good enhancement of sound.Cons
You have to go into the Preferences to uncheck the "Bring to front when popular media players are openede", else it gets very annoying...
Summary
The Number One feature that SRS Audio Sandbox makes my primary sound enhancement module, is that it makes Spotify very enjoyable in HiFi.
It also gets the very best out of my laptop speakers. -

"SRS Audio Sandbox 1.10.2.0 (Vista)"

Setting Parameters
Configuration Option not too clearSummary
I personally look at as many reviews as possible on a product before I make my decision to try or buy. I haven't written many reviews on products but I feel this one deserved my attention.
SRS has turned my rather dull DVD experience into something new and exciting. Sound comes from everywhere and keeps me totally engrossed as I have learned to hear and experience sounds that were not there before.
It livens whatever you use it on including You Tube Videos! I have a favorite video of Lance Armstrong that I use for motivation and was absolutely blown away after having seen it for the "hundredth" time. The sounds were clear and ambient and I just can't explain it. You really need to hear it for yourself.
There is a configuration screen that shows up with "check marks" for your current speaker setup. When I ran it, it said my 5.1 was not configured correctly and the AUTOFIX button was greyed out? It was only after I closed my DVD program that I found out the answer to the problem. I opened my "sound devices" windows and I now had (2) speaker icons. The 2nd icon actually had SRS as the device and all I had to do then was to configure it as a 5.1 system.
The selection items for playback of either music or movies is all you need. Short and Sweet. Just select what you want and you're off and running.
Don't believe the (Auto Adjustment) is necessarily the best pick for your sound system. Just click on it to turn it off and you have about 4 choices to select from. I personally use the WOW HD selection and if anyone remembers the old BASF advertisement where someone sitting in a chair is holding on for dear life, while their scarf and hair are being blow backwards...well, that's the best way for me tell you just how huge the difference can be!!!
I highly recommend this program to anyone that wants better sound from their computer sound system(s). -
"Fine renderer"
Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.10.2.0
Pros
ihave used it with my laptops and 2.1 connected speakers as well and always found it to be a great enhancement, wouldnt use anything else. It did marvels on the dvd movies i played through and onto the external monitor and made them sound perfect.
Cons
I have tried to use it on my newest build 64 bit win 7 with 5.1 speakers and now do not use it anymore. It just doesnt work well though this processor or mother board combo. I have it installed the 64SRS but I have to disable it with the VIA card.
Summary
It just wont perform on the via sound card on this motherboard. i check off 5.1 and all that but it cant or wont render sound properly trough all channels. they will buzz, not play, crash it is always something. I use cyberlink powerdvd9 ultra as well as flash streaming video in hulu silverlight in netflix and would love to have srs function but it wont and i have used many tries and many ways so have it disabled and go with the via hd deck, which is not as good but it works. srs fails too often. too bad; i miss it. I still rate it highly because i am not convinced it is a srs issue though they havent offered me any feedback on how to make it go
