    "SOS Online Backup Matches Expectations"

    Pros

    I chose SOS Online Backup because of good reviews in PC Magazine and the New York Times. I chose the product because I could backup 5 devices/machines; the product had good security reviews and assurances; and their web portal seems to allow recovery en masse or by individual file.

    I had problems getting the product installed, so I did a live chat session with customer service. I found the representative to be helpful, friendly, and efficient. The issue was a user error: I wasn't logged in as the administrator for our computer.

    Cons

    The initial backup is slow (probably because of bandwidth more than anything else), but I expect that will not be the case with subsequent backups.

    Summary

    While I haven't been using SOS for very long, my initial experiences have been positive.
