"WARNING - LOST DAYS TRYING UNSUCCESSFULLY TO BURN DISC"
Version: Roxio PhotoShow 6.0
Pros
Relatively easy to use
Cons
Can not burn DVD without purchasing "free" software. Once you have software you may not be able to burn a DVD and the subscription is not less than 1 year. SAVE TIME AND MONEY - don't try to use on the family home computer if it's over 3 years old. This software package sucks the memory our of your system. Tech support is all email and not informative. More sales than support
Summary
Could have saved 2 weeks of my live by never seeing this software. Should have tried to determine all the negatives prior to beginning. Try to get the best CPU configuration possible before using this software.

"Great software - but cant get them to apply upgrade"
Version: Roxio PhotoShow 6.0
Pros
makes really cute pro videos- ease of use
Cons
Emailing for a week with receipt from Roxio and PayPal that program is upgraded- still the account is basic- I can't burn Cd's and premium features.
Not happy -
"Don't buy it, especially if it is an upgrade"
Version: Roxio PhotoShow 6.0
Pros
Use to be great - now it sucks!
Cons
Customer service sucks - for 6 months they still can fix on 2 separate computers. I have 28 photoshows that I can't burn to a cd.
Summary
Use to be a great product, they have since made it worse. You are forced to upgrade to premium and then you can't burn DVD's. Dealing the 3rd world country for customer service is a joke. I will stick w/Picasa it isn't as fun as the old Roxio, but at least it works!

"Max number of images is 400. Why?"
Version: Roxio PhotoShow 6.0
Pros
I didn't get to the point where I can assess the pros
Cons
An apparently arbitrary maximum of 400 files in one show
Summary
Almost immediately upon running the software I found out that you can't use more than 400 images in a slideshow. I have 548 images. No other slideshow-to-DVD software I've tried has such a limitation. Why does Roxio? Lame.

"Good product, easy to use, many options and effects."
Version: Roxio PhotoShow 6.0
Pros
Easy to intall and use. Buying a subscription provides many more options to choose from. People I have sent the final product to loved it! They are excited to receive these shows and can't wait to view them.
Cons
It would be nice if the software converted the pictures to HD 1080i and corrected for clearity and sharpness. Many other programs have these features.
Summary
Good product for someone just starting to get into slide shows that are easy to create and use to get on the web and email quickly.

"Cool for a time, but beware"
Version: Roxio PhotoShow 6.0
Pros
Great easy to learn features
innovativeCons
ruined my pc
Summary
I had to reformat my hard drive after this software refused to work, and locked up all my photos. But it was good while it lasted.

"Good for kids, maybe..."
Version: Roxio PhotoShow 6.0
Pros
Easy to use
Cons
Not much here for the advanced user
Summary
Program is simple, easy to use, possibly designed with children in mind. If you like having everything created for you, you might like this. Slideshows can be created in a few steps by choosing preset themes, borders, transition effects. If you like creating things yourself, this program gives you very little to do. It's designed to be almost like a toy, fun and simple. BE WARNED : the demo version doesn't let you save your slideshow as a video file or in a format that can be burned to dvd, so essentially YOU CANNOT SEE THE END RESULT. To me, this is useless and a huge waste of my time. I'm not going to pay for anything unless I'm able to see the final result and judge it's quality.
