I will never ever buy their products again. I spent more of my time trying to work around this junk software. Then to make matters worse, there are so many bugs, and the performance is horrific. I HATE this product, and I wish we could get together and find out what can be done for marketing such JUNK!!! With all of the business intelligence out there, they could not get this product to work better than this???????
There are so many other products out there that are better. I finally got an image to burn, but when I go to make a copy there are all these errors... when I look on the website - other people are having these same experience.Summary

"FULL OF BUGS"

I purchased Roxio NXT online and received the installation disc through the mail. After installing the software and trying to use it I keep getting a message telling me that screen resolution is too low and needs to be set to 1024 x 768 pixels or higher, and the color quality to 16-bit or higher. My screen resolution and clor quality is set way above what they're calling for. I E-mailed Corel asking for a solution to the problem. They assigned me a case number but no help. I've tried contacting Corel/Roxio, if you want Tech support YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. All you get is the run-around from their web site for self help. Plus, if you are not aware, Roxio does AUDIT your computer via the internet without you being aware, for installs and usage. There is NO TECH SUPPORT AT ALL on this Product from Roxio. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY ROXIO PRODUCT TO ANYBODY.

"Can't Create AVCHD DVDs"

I have used previous versions of Roxio Creator 9 and 10 to create slide shows and these products have worked well.
I installed Roxio Creator 2012 Pro with the intent of creating High Definition AVCHD DVDs of my slide shows. Roxio's website claims that the product does create AVCHD disk. Every time I tried to create a disk I end up getting error messages and the burn fails. No matter what sequence of event I try it still fails.
The error messages I get are "Project_BuildToDevice() AuthorScript call failed. Error while writing format" and "8007000e Error While encoding menu".Summary
Don't buy this software to create AVCHD disk. It does not work.

It wouldn't download and it took hours to find out that it wouldn't download. It took several more hours to figure out that the user wasn't the problem. I don't know how many more hours it's going to take to get my money back. I LOVED my old Roxio software and I am going to miss it dearly. I am as dissappointed about this as I was to find out there was not Santa Claus or Easter Bunny!

defective software discs. 6 months ago went through Roxio's install process 10 times and customer support quit helping after that. No response. Bought new computer and even tried again and now find out that in February the sold out to COREL and now going through same process again with COREL people and still no help.

None. I expected to be able to edit chapters with this software. I had an old version that said an upgrade was required to edit. I also wanted the option to fit the video to DVD. Again this was an option that required an upgrade.
Cons
Program took over four hours to download and that was for the main file. A second file would probably take just as long, but I decided to "pause" the download. After four hours of downloading, one project was only 65% complete! This was after I attempted to edit chapters by trimming and cutting. Several times I got the encoding error 8004520c Error while Encoding Movie 1.I should have checked the reviews before I made this purchase. When this one project is completed, I will be uninstalling. I might even request a refund if that is possible. Do not buy this!
Summary
Stay away from Roxio Creator 2012. The software take too long to install and too long to burn dvds. It is not worth the money or your time.

Computer locks up when initiating burning a disk image file and Copy and Convert Video. I have to reset my computer.

Several reinstalls, repair attempts have all failed. The product has been consistent in where it crashes. Using Window 7 64 bit. I don't know who's fault it is. It seems software development is so far behind.

"Roxio Creator Creates Nothing, Absolutely Nothing"

Had all the programs I needed in one package.

None of the programs work. I've tried using Creator 2007 through 2012 and have probably spent 100 hours installing, uninstalling, re-installing, reporting incidents on Roxio's support site, performing countless Roxio Support supposed "fixes", (some of their responses for fixing had nothing to do with my problem and could have caused damage to my computer had I not known anything about computers) and my final conclusion: This program will never, ever work!!! I'm done.

Warning!! This program will make you cry. It's crap. Don't buy it unless you like aggravation.

"Roxio: We have a problem"

None yet. Promises great things, previous versions had some quirks but did basics well. this one will cost your weeks of frustration trying to load get help or return.
Cons
Roxio is vexed with bad install software in Creator 12. Physical disks distributed by Roxio from CustomCD are defective. Roxio Customer Support will not easily issue replacements or download versions and will not escalate the issue. Short of Email there is no way to tell the company they have a serious problem.
Summary
Creator 12 is not ready for prime time. Avoid at all costs. Potentially great software you will not be able to load on Windows7.
