It's very quick.

Didn't find C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\a8y3u7fp.SYS
But AVG Anti-Rootkit Free (version 1.1.0.42, an oldie) found it.

Pros
I like Trend Micro even though I gave the security suite a so so review. This rootkit scanner , fast, free, won't mess you up with false positives and just as effective as any dedicated rootkit scanner I've tried. What I like best about is, theres no program to install like AVG anti-rootkit scanner.
Cons
I do like F-Secure Black Light better and it's also free and available at Softpedia. Why this download isn't available here is perplexing.

Pros
Seems to do a a good job, but I didn't have any rootkits on my machine. It ran without problems and completed the scan with no problems noted.

Fast and appears to be through, although thankfully I haven't any rootkits yet.
Cons
Had to right-click and "Run as administrator," even though I am listed on this computer as the only admin user account for my little home "network" of one desktop computer.
