"Excellent software"

Pros
This software has very good functions in order to detect intruders and send Emails, send pictures and other information through Internet. Continuously this software is being upgraded having new very useful functions.
Cons
No bad functions have been found.
Summary
I like this software because I am able to move my webcams at home from my office, check my entire my house, I am able to receive Emails having Images from my cameras at home. I am also able to see online images from any place and the best I can control my cameras using a simply cellular telephone.

This software Robot Benri has a lot of useful functions. It is able to detect intruders in two different ways; first, it is able to detect intruders in motion, and second it is able to detect intruders even if intruders are not moving. I have not seen this characteristic in any other software before.
It is able to report intruders by mean of Emails, take a lot of pictures and record a lot of videos of intruders.
The function I like very much is that I can control all cameras connected to Robot Benri by mean of Email commands. I love this function because every day I need to leave alone my children and I am able to move cams, change zoom values etc just using my celullar telephone from any place in the world. Is fantastic!.

"Not the way to go"

When installing Robot Benri I couldn't help but wonder how long it would take to crash my PC, as this is a feature that seems to be in the increase among webcam surveillance software now-a-days.
To my surprise, Robot Benri installed smoothly and, as a minor annoyance, it only asked me to reboot my computer once it was done.
Robot Benri has plenty of features. It allows you to use up to 16 cameras in your surveillance network, be notified by email when an intruder is detected, send footage via email/ftp, connect to remote webcams via IP protocol, and many others...
A good feature is the bilingual approach of Robot Benri, which is shipped in both English and Spanish languages, a feature that will undoubtly spread in support for more languages.
Cons
Nonetheless, the biggest draw back is the total lack of support for changing video/image resolution and a poorly designed graphic user interface which is not the friendliest I've seen so far.
Robot Benri lets you change the webcam settings via the webcam own GUI (which is a must for any webcam software worth the time of a download), but it lacks the ability to let you twist those settings via its own means.
All in all, Robot Benri is an out of the shelf webcam surveillance system that will fulfill the need of most, if all you want is to be notified that an intruder has been detected. Trying to guess who the intruder was in a dark, fuzzy picture, well, that's another matter.
