"When PC crashed won't permit transfer of paid version."

    December 27, 2008  |   By Obosie

    Pros

Ability to fill forms online without need to remember password or username

    Cons

That pros item is the death of the product when you are away from your PC and need to remember pw and un.

    Summary

Why can't I transfer what I paid from one PC to another? Afterall you have the product available as free version. But having chosen to pay for the full version, why must I be penalised after losing my PC to an unrecoverable crash. I had my payment details and I am told it couldn't go on to a new PC. It sucks.

Q: I lost my RoboForm Pro status because of Windows reinstall. How do I get it back?
A: Use our Pro Activator. It will ask you for your Name and Order ID or E-mail or Zip/Post Code. Upon finding you in the database the system will perform activation of RoboForm Pro on your computer.

All you should have to do is install the software on the new computer and then use your Roboform Activation information, which you should have saved. Information you will most likely need: Name, Order ID, Email & Transaction ID. I have had to do the same thing many times. As a Tip: you should get Roboform2Go and use it on a USB flash drive, then if your computer crashes or you travel, you always have it with you.

They didn't offer to let you install and use NEW user name / password?
