"Worse than you could ever imagine"

    May 9, 2011  |   By bryancassady2

    Version: RoboForm 7.1.9

    Pros

It would work, if you didn't need to keep synchronizing and re-activating the program

    Cons

You need to keep activating and re-activating.
    What a waste of time

    Summary

This product is supposed to save time...
If you are like me you will find it a huge time waster and a very frustrating experience...

    "Product good policy "RUBBISH""

    April 30, 2011  |   By Jazzcar53

    Version: RoboForm 7.1.9

    Pros

Long term user with 4 "LIFETIME" licenses always been happy until bombshell that lifetime does not mean what it says.

    Cons

Upgrades are now limited to minor versions without further payments.

    Summary

How can a company sell something with a lifetime upgrade license then ask for payment to upgrade? This is underhand and I advise all steer clear of them.

"Version 6 does not support Firefox v4"

    April 26, 2011  |   By rhuppert

    Version: RoboForm 7.1.9

    Pros

    The v6 product works well.

    Cons

I won't upgrade a product just for a browser change. I've been a long time user. I understand the need for revenue, but a minor update to v6 to work with Firefox 4 is not too much to expect, especially since they did support the FF4 beta.

    Summary

I suspect some executives at Siber Systems are unaware or don't care about their self-inflicted damage to their reputation.

"Product does not work with bank web sites (Roboform 7)"

    April 25, 2011  |   By wellmanc

    Version: RoboForm 7.1.9

    Pros

    It's cheap
It works on some web sites.
    Support people answer requests

    Cons

RoboForm has not kept up to changing web security processes. Quoting support, " RoboForm cannot handle Flash-forms and Java forms.
A pop up window, "Do you want to fill in this form" pops up on the wrong pages - Amazon while browsing product pages,

    Summary

Roboform put its effort into moving to the cloud instead of delivering a product that works. I learned this after hours of effort.

    Find an alternative.

Too bad. This used to be a great product.

"Open your wallet, you'll pay, and pay, and pay"

    April 20, 2011  |   By LBL_Lowkee

    Version: RoboForm 7.1.9

    Pros

    - Never again remember a password
    - Decent at auto-filling forms using saved info

    Cons

    - GREEDY developers
    - Must pay every time a new browser version comes out
    - Need developer permission every time you reinstall the app (online activation accuses you of piracy, making you contact the devs before it will unlock)

    Summary

Once promised as free upgrades, the makers of Roboform have unilaterally changed the licensing terms, deciding it is much better to extort money for each browser upgrade. New FF version? That'll cost you $19. New IE came out? Pay $29 for support.

Think I'm just exaggerating? Go ahead and buy it.

Next time you upgrade your browser, you'll notice how some important function of the app no longer works and you'll be required to re-buy the app for continued support.

FireFox 4 and Roboform worked perfectly until the FF 4 beta went to FF 4 release, then, mysteriously, Roboform stopped working and magically a new "version" (v7) of roboform came out, and the "upgrade" price is more than the original (v6) cost new. The devs will tell you Roboform v6 never worked with FF 4, but anyone who used it up until release day can say otherwise. They simply REMOVED support for FF 4 when they put out their new version (which is simply a repackage of the same old version).

CNET really needs to re-review this product, as it is hardly what it used to be, nor is the pricing scheme.

"Used to be great but not anymore!!"

    April 19, 2011  |   By 454jamie

    Version: RoboForm 7.1.9

    Pros

It fills in forms and log in fields with the click of a button.

    Cons

    Annual licensing

    Summary

I tried to get Roboform for my android phone. The product they sell for that application is Roboform Everywhere. Unfortunately it is being marketed with an annual license. I really hate that. They also neglected to mention that I had to upgrade my desktop version from 6 to 7 at a cost of $29.95 if I actually planned on using Roboform Everywhere. Roboform used to be a very nice company. Now they are behaving like a company that was recently purchased by greedy corporate slackers who didn't lift a finger to develop anything and want to make gobs of money on someone else's product. Either that or they've had a recent corporate aneurism. To add insult to injury, when I phoned them, the only option was to leave a voice mail message. They also do not have an e-mail address. Really.....?? A software company that only accepts snail mail??
