Converted an AVI video to FLV, but converted video was cut short.
Summary
This was very easy to use but I was disappointed that the converted video was cut short. I wondered if this resulted from the software's "free" version and that one must pay for a complete version to get a fully converted video. Or the program has a size/time limitation? Based on other comments, though, it doesn't appear others have experienced this. Anyone else have this problem? If so, any tips on how to resolve this issue?

Pros
I converted a mov H264 file to FLV. At first it was grainy, then I changed the settings to higher bit rate and matched the frame rate. The quality is perfect.
Cons
The only problem is that when it's encoding, it does not tell you. It looks as if it's frozen, but it's encoding the background. It needs a counter or a progress bar of some sort.

I couldn't find a better converter.

IT is simple and you can upgrade the FLV to a better quality when transfering ti to a WMV or AVI or....

I converted a .mov file to .flv and the quality was very poor.
Summary
I tried increasing the bitrate and other options, but still the quality was bad. What i mean is, if u want reading quality from a converted .flv video using this software, then its useless. otherwise for object its quality is good enough.

Like another reviewer, I also received 'encoding failed - not supported by a combination of parameters' message. There is no Forum or FAQ on Riva's site. I've not been able to convert .wmv or .avi files files. If it cannot run on XPSP2 then they should say so!

Doesn't work with MOV files, even though the review says it does. And that's all I needed it to do.
