Version: Rising Antivirus Free Edition 20.56
"Excellent program"
Pros: So far, I think this is the most polished and complete of the free AV's out there. Antivirus, Antispyware, POP/SMTP protection, Anti Rootkits, automatic updates. Easy interface to navigate. It also got the VB100 award...seems to have everything.
Cons: No firewall but thats not a big deal. The security audit tab doesn't seem to give you an accurate report (it will say that you need to update the definitions after they have already been done) - once again, this has no bearing on it's effectiveness.
Summary: I was running avast, avira, and avg on each of my pc's last month. All of my systems are now running Rising; It is an excellent product!
