"Handy, fast and simple to use."
Version: RipIt 1.6.1
Pros
I am pretty much non-technical and have had absolutely no problems with this software. My question to those who bemoan not being able to use backups on Windows: If you have a Mac, why would you ever go back to Windows? If you need to run Win programs, use Win XP under Virtual Box from Oracle on your Mac. Its faster than native WIN. I converted to Mac after Vista and have never looked back.
Ripit does everything it claims and with a great, simple GUI. It is fast and appears bug-free, if you use it as instructed. Well worth what they charge for it. You won't be sorry you bought this. Unless, of course, you are a Windows devotee, in which case you should be used to disappointments.
No, I do not work for Ripit or Apple.Cons
Haven't found any, but then, my needs are not exotic. Just backups.
Summary
This is a good, solid program and handles discs I couldn't do with Handbrake. I am very happy with it.
