"Run Away, Run Away!"

Summary

Tried the "demo" of the product, worked fine for composing, except you cannot delete individual notes. You must delete all notes before that note. What a pain! Sent the canned ringtone (only one you can send since it's a demo) to my Nokia 6310i:

1. Emaied it to the phone (adds garbage you don't see on the phone making it impossible to recognize as a ringtone), then

2. Re-sent from the phone to itself as text message (removes garbage) and, viola, a new ringtone.

Paid and registered, and the "fun" started:

1. Randomly enters a base note in the staff when a sharp note was selected (I hear the sharp note when entered), and plays back as a base note. I delete the note and reenter it several times before the proper note is entered.

2. Randomly, as I play back a section one of the notes has dropped an octave. When I delete that note and reenter, it is OK but an earlier note drops an octave!

I have sent feedback regarding these problems, but have as of yet to hear a word in reply. I have managed to suffer through composing one successfull ringtone, and was happy with the result; but until these bugs are fixed IT'S NOT WORTH IT! One star for only one successful ringtone. AARRGGHH!

This is great for those of us who have phones that can't download tones. The software needs to catch up to new phones, but for my v60c, I'm in love!!!1

"Meh."

Completely unimpressed. No polyphonic support. Many of the included songs have terrible pacing and/or wrong notes, so (to me) they're completely useless. Doesn't interface with the phone to upload the ringtones, which to me would be THE most useful feature. Really can't find any use for this for my purposes with my phone. Maybe five years ago when I was using a cheap Nokia, but not in 2003. Way overpriced for what you get, IMHO.

"Works fine, but it lacks important features"

tainscough, you're a moron. Verizon is just *a* company, and it's small compared to GSM-based ones. The world isn't the USA, and in the world your phone is almost unknown. Motorola _and_ Nokia are far the most used phones in the worls, so don't blame a sw just because it does not support a phone type.
I give 3 stars to this app just because 1) it lacks of polyphonic support, 2) the piano is horrible and 3) because the price is too high. Otherwise it is a nice app. Keep improving it and the ratings will go higher. BTW; why don't we blame the _phones_ manufacturers ? Why we need to have several standards to excange ringtones instead to use all MIDI files ?

Let's see how smart the RingTone Converter X people really are with a little quiz:

1. What is the number 1 wireless company in the USA in terms of numbers of customers?

A: Verizon.

2. What is Verizon's number 1 selling mobile phone right now?

A: LG VX4400

3. So of course you support the number one phone from the number one company, right?

A: No.

Bzzzzzt. You lose.
