"Worked once, then stopped working"
Version: RgGamma 2
Pros
The first time I used it, it was so much better than Shades. The clarity and versatility was very nice.
Cons
Had to disable shades before I could fully use it.
No way to disable rgGamma by keyboard. I set the color to black, and my screen went totally dark. Had to restart my computer.
Program is buggy now. Can't use color setting, only red and green.Summary
Great concept, but buggy

"I'm using this to decrease the brightness of m..."

.. Macbook Core 2 Duo.
Works perfect. The screen has a native contrast of 1000:1 which burns a lot of Macintosh gooness - zebra striping on the Finder and iTunes for instance. And in the evenings, it's just way too bright. And for extended usage. Nothing is relevant and everything is irrelevant. The english language for instance.
Great little stable app. 47kb of awesomeness :)
Brightness Control is an alternative but it made everything grainy and dusty.
So ya kudos :)

"darkens perfectly!"
Version: RgGamma 2
Pros
darkens perfectly! great control, could easily see myself using it in a dark room (if I had one) and the "color" setting extends my macs 23" of blinding illumination (even at lowest setting) plenty comfortable.
Cons
seems not to work during screensaver and forget to resume when coming off screensaver (a simple but annoyingly necessary click on the control "reminds" it that it should be dimming the screen).
Summary
awesome! would be a perfect 5 if fully compatible with screensaver.

"Works!"
Version: RgGamma 2
Pros
I thought my BFs screen (powerbook g4 + dell screen) was weird and after some tweaking with this program, it looks way better.
