"It is a Disaster"
Version: Returnil Virtual System Lite 2011 2.0
Pros
I like the protection it clearly provides and I think in this day and age it is needed.
Cons
It claims to support Vista but today it destroyed my system. Essential windows files were destroyed and a complete recovery was needed to get windows to boot. Mine is a new computer with Quad core, 720GB hard drive with Vista Premium.
Summary
I will never risk using this program again. There are others. I do not want my computer destroyed again.

"Very powerful but restrictive"
Version: Returnil Virtual System Lite 2011 2.0
Pros
Knowing that no matter what happens during a session on your PC that when you reboot it will revert to it's previous state is very comforting. Viruses, trojans, you name it cannot permanently reside on you system. You can select certain files or even a whole session to restore to the 'real' drive. It can run permanatly or 'on demand' via session lock
Cons
If you want to keep it on permanently it can be difficult to keep other apps up to date as changes are overwritten at each reboot. Files that are in use will not copy over and registry changes can't be copied to the real drive. You will need something to protect you between reboots.

"Best program ever!"
Version: Returnil Virtual System Lite 2011 2.0
Pros
This program has 'no' drawbacks. If there is a drawback it's that the operator must remember whether he's in protection ON or protection OFF mode (easy to do since there's a little window on the top of your screen that tells you whether it's ON or OFF). It provides complete and utter protection for anything that's on your C: drive (whether you like it or not) if it's turned ON ... you MUST switch to protection OFF if you wish to change something on your C: drive. I opened Itunes and it automatically updated my podcasts to my C: drive but since protection was OFF, they weren't really saved to my C: drive - (nothing can change on your C: drive while protection is ON). That was my mistake not RETURNIL's and it's exactly 'why' it works so well. I just keep Protection ON for days at a time and only turn it OFF when/if I want to change C:.
I've got it on my DELL XP SP2 laptop and my ACER Vista Home Premium desktop and it's working well on both.
Cons
the only thing I don't like is that I'm a senior citizen and my memory is not in what it used to be and (before downloading or saving anything) I must keep reminding myself that I can't change anything on C: with Protection ON. It's simply the best program on my computers.
