Version: Restorer2000 Pro 3.3 build 123301
Pros: Nothing! It didn't work.
Cons: While it may be OK to recover some corrupted files, or files which have been accidently deleted, it does not work to recover anything from a disk which has been damaged, or which has had its FAT corrupted.

Pros: Recover2000 recovered a corrupted disk for me that Windows refused to read (I tried various command line tools like recover and fdisk and nothing would work).
So, given that I found a lot of similar software (that also looked like they would work) but which were 2 or 3 times the cost, I can only give this full marks to this.
It recovered 100's of Megabtyes of data that Windows (Vista) couldn't.

"Using Restorer2000 *Not the Pro edition*"
Pros: I like how Restorer 2000 allowed me to see whether it could detect my files or not before I had to buy it. It's done a great job of restoring all my music and games after I stupidly formatted my hard drive.
I don't have room on my main drive to fully restore everything all at once fromt the corrupt one, and R2k lets me pick and choose the folders I want to restore. This is a lot better than a certain DOS file extracter. Plus, R2k doesn't rename my files.
I like how this works on Vista and XP. I plan on keeping this program for a long time, just in case I or someone I know messes up again.
Cons: The version I'm using probably has a lot more features than I need, and I bet you don't need the pro or whatever else.
R2k only accepts Canadian dollars, so this would have been a steal in years past. (now the US dollar is down, though)

Version: Restorer2000 Pro 3.3 build 123301
Pros: It works as advertised. For the $49 that you spend on the product it will save you cash that you would have to spend at a professional data recovery service.
Cons: None. I wish it had some other tools, such as formatting or reconditioning the drive, but this program is specifically for data recovery.
Summary: I was using an imaging program to clone my HD to new HD on my Dell Mini9 while my 16gb SDHC card was still in the SD slot. Everything was ok until I tried to access the data...inacessible. doh! Restorer2000 Pro was able to get everything off the card... read more
