Version: Replay AV 8.10
"stingy trial so cant evaluate if its worth buying"
Pros: records internet radio alegedly
Cons: 5min or 5mb trial is utterly useless, i need to record a 2hr show to see sound quality across a whole show at the very least, a 30 day full trial would be better so i wont be buying it as ive no idea if its any good

"Good recorder, shame it isn't totally free."
Pros: Easy to use, simple and effective interface, does not affect computer speed (as long as you disable the start-up entrys).
Cons: Sound is very, very distorted. There was no information anywhere about how to get rid of the distortion. I did some experimenting and it turns out you have to make sure that the recording volume is on low and the stereo level on medium-low in the volume control application.

"Very unreliable, inconsistent performance."
Pros: Nothing really except after the support personal actually did read my messages (they read right past what I was saying for the first few times, as if they knew what I was saying, but it wasn't what I was saying!) they did work with me, but nothing got this sad program working properly. I have no trouble with other software and my laptop runs fine and is not unusual or would it lead you to think my case might be exceptional.
Cons: It does not work well. Recording streaming audio in RealPlayer and Windows media player on my XP Home edition Lenovo laptop rarely works - it bombs long before the file has played. This is particularly true for long, i.e.. 30 min plus radio shows. I am also taking a college course online which requires me to view 50 min videos in a webpage which embeds Windows media player. Replay is pathetic! 1 out of 4 or 5 tries will it work. It simply is not worth the time and trouble. I regret spending $50 on it.

"Does the job quick and easy.... easier to decipher than Windows Media Encoder"
Pros: I tried downloading Windows Media Encoder and about pulled my hair out trying to get it to work. I don't understand why the video options are greyed out so you can't select them, all I can get with that program is audio.
I sure like Replay AV. It did just what I needed to do, and it was especially easy for someone technically challenged like me.
