Version: Remlap KnowledgeBase 2.21

"Not impressed at all"

Pros: It does the job, and you can place anything in your articles (links, pictures, colored text). The program itself is small so it fit easily on an USB Key.

Cons: GUI sucks. The database could use some compression (the sample database have a dozen of SMALL articles, and the DB is 50 MB!). The search is slow. You can't define any section. Bad shortcut key association.

Summary: My idea of a knowledge base is a place where you can store many informations of any types. It could be some piece of code, some information about network tools, some informations about the way to take care of your bonsais, and even some of your mom... read more >>
