Relative Rev Backup, is a powerful yet intuitive to use incremental backup solution that can protect your important data from total or partial loss. It can backup the entire drives or just important files and folders. Relative Rev backup can automate every aspect of the backup process. Relative Rev Backup takes at first a full backup, and all subsequent snapshots can be incremental. You can also define just how many snapshots you want to keep, when the program gets to the number you set, it deletes the oldest one. It can also seamlessly discard full or incremental backup snapshots, without hurting the other snapshots taken based on the discarded snapshot. With a reasonable storage size, this allows endless snapshots of your data to be taken, without ever having to replace the backup media. And, at the same time, even if you done a number of incremental backups, you can in a single session perform a drive/folder/file restore - from any available snapshot! A backup and restore wizards simply guide you through the setup process. Once a backup or a restore is performed, you can see which files have changed using a report viewer (tree view format).
Relative Rev Backup can utilize any drive letter, including mapped network drives and UNC paths (in a LAN environment). It can backup to a wide range of backup media such as JAZZ and ZIP disks, DiskOnKey, hard disks (HDD - local, USB or IEEE 1394 attached). It can also backup to CD-RW (CDRW) and DVD RW (DVD +/- RW) if the appropriate drivers have been installed.
Relative Rev Backup is available in Std./Pro. editions (Pro. edition supports Enhanced GFS which enables taking frequent snapshots, selectively storing a small number of snapshots, and can be setup to restore data taken as old as many months back), compatible with Windows 98/NT4.0/2000/XP, and requires about 7MB of free disk space
