Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0
"Good program but..."
Pros: I has tried many of registry cleaner tools, I think Registry Mechanic is good, it does do a nice job cleaning your registry and easy to use. I also like its interface, it's beautiful.
But I think it is not the best. After I used it 4 months later, my friend recommended WinASO to me, so I decided to download and try it. On the first scan WinASO Registry Optimizer found 144 errors....I could hardly believe it! Thoroughness is truly the hallmark of this great product!

The free Registry Mechanic vesion is very limited and you must have the paid version to see any performance improvement. I will be interested to try the WinASO Registry Optimizer. Can you provide the required info to obtain it ? Thanks.

It seems to me just because a program reports more "registry errors" doesn't mean it's a better product. Reading WinASO's user comments couldn't make this clearer.
The old adage: "The proof is in the pudding" really applies here. Several reviewers state that RM improves their system performance where as all of the people who wrote reviews for WinASO complained that there was no performance boost and that their systems were actually made unstable by the software.
