Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0
"Safe reg.repair?"
Pros: Found & fixed 67 errors and saved 5% capacity upon compression... pc faster after uninstall?
Cons: Have a valid license so I re-trial upgrades and the slow-down of apps. isn't worth the faster re-boot... OK for one time use every 3-6 months! I'll "regedit" after un-installs.

i agree whole heartedly about spyware doctor being pc tools only good app. i'd say the same for webroot with spysweeper.
that's why i laugh when people weite about how an entire suite is the way to go. in my experience suites conflict among their own apps, let alone others. none the less, good review.........thanks.

disabled a video-game, my anti-virus, my firewall and my desktop!!! And it took 'til last night to fix everything!!! Yet PCTools-SpywareDoctor cleaned out 2 trojans that A2 missed. From what I can tell PCTools has 1 great product and sells the other apps. based on that reputation!!! And I agree that registry-editors fail their jobs badly...so I use google-search, system-restore and regedit!!!

i've yet to see an app that watchdog's your registry not end up being a pain in th a**. the one's ive tried were like an extra a/v running. good review !
