    July 14, 2007  |   By DARK_EMPEROR

    Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0

    Pros

vista has been out for nearly 6 months............. and you have limited support? wow, i'm impressed. with so many other utilities ahead of you..........you have lost big time. pc tools has proven to be a lousy company. i wouldn't have said that 1 year ago, but you have managed to screw it up .

    "Waste of time"

    July 9, 2007  |   By VegasPigeon

    Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0

    Pros

    None

    Cons

After I ran this program it actually started taking my computer significantly longer to load. I had to use the system recovery tool to get my computer to work properly again.

    "Dangerous Software!"

    July 7, 2007  |   By jukes101

    Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0

    Cons

MY wifes laptop crashed after running Registry Mechanic, fortunately it was still under guarantee ( Acer), we sent it back to Acer and all they did was reformat the laptop and sent it back to us with a Warning saying that if we install any kind of registry cleaners on the machine again the warranty will be void! We were upset so we contacted Microsoft for their view on this matter. We were told off the record that Microsoft does not approve or disapprove of registry cleaners, but they dont use registry cleaners on their own machines!!! It is very obvious that their is big money involved even c/net proudly states that P.C. Tools is one of their sponsers! And one of the moderators of C/Net had the audacity to send me a e-mail that you dont condone any illegal activity but you allow Dangerous software to be downloaded from your site! I can supply the documentation to backup this statement if need be!!!!!!!! Who is looking after the Users interests?

    "Nice app."

    July 4, 2007  |   By Poul75

    Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0

    Pros

Can be trusted to automatically clean your registry. Good for me since I often have problems figuring those entries out.

I often install and uninstall programs and still it keeps my computer running fast and stable.

    Rock solid program.

Can compact the registry, which somethimes gives a noticable difference in speed.

    Cons

It does not do any damage, but also leaves a few entries behind there should be removed.

    "Please don't cheat!"

    June 23, 2007  |   By pudding_1982

    Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0

    Cons

The demo version does not repair registry errors... period! What sort of demo is it? A sort of demo that doesn't allow you to see how does the program handles the most critical part of it's single job, so desn't even completes it's single job!

Please be honest and say that a trail version DOES NOT EXIST for that program, if you want to try what is able to do you have to pay, uless you pay you will only be able to install something as useless as an ad!

And so people downloads demo, like me, install it to try, get disgusted by the lack of honesty (the program does nothing useful, does not demonstrate anything at all) and remove the program after have wasted some time, with less exteem for PC Tools and Download.com

"Free to Try, this I disagree with"

    June 22, 2007  |   By catchingsam

    Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0

    Cons

I downloaded the software, ran it, it found '6267 Invalid Registry' entries but would allow no rectification unless I bought and registered the program. I do not call this "free to try". Or is it just me.

"Doesn't seem geared to novices - no thanks"

    June 20, 2007  |   By The_Gent

    Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0

    Cons

There's too much margin for error, you could seriously damage your ability to even BOOT your machine. It's got a good price, but they could do a better job of spelling out errors, so that non-geeks don't wreck their machines.

    "Not good"

    June 6, 2007  |   By Ishigamma

    Version: Registry Mechanic 6.0

    Pros

User-friendly. It has a detailed error view.

    Cons

I am using a CCleaner which include a registry fixer and also the Free Windows Registry Repair, both are free and does what this app did.

Why pay for this SINGLE app? Think.
