"Didnt end up using it"
Version: Registry Cleaner 4
Pros
have no idea if there are any good points
Cons
Either it wasnt really free or didnt load up, either way, I did not use it
Summary
Rahter than this I used Windows Registry Cleaner 2.5 (780K) seemed to work fine and actually was free. also available on CNET.

"Over rated and over priced."
Version: Registry Cleaner 4
Pros
Registry Cleaner has an easy to use interface, fast scan, and scans in nine categories. It did a full scan and found 320 invalid registry entries in my computer.
Cons
The free trial will only repair 20 invalid registry entries. I will not pay for this program to repair the other 300 invalid registry entries. Try Glary Registry Repair it is free and will repair all registry errors.

"Not Bad ... But!!"
Version: Registry Cleaner 4
Pros
Seemed pretty fast in scanning my registery. Only downloaded the trial version. Liked the ability to backup the registery, and would have liked it better if I knew were the backup was and if W/XP could find it if the system crashed.
Cons
Tried trial version, only fixes first twenty problems. Can't choose how to fix the problem. I should have a choice: new path, delete the key or ignore it. Can't buy software, only a licensed. No way am I paying $45.82 to use it for three years.
Summary
There are better products out there. This cleaner doesn't give you the control you need to make sure that your system is so clean you can use it anymore. I don't like the fact I'm not being informed of what the software is checking, why its being checked and how to correct the problem. I don't like the shotgun approach the software takes to clean the registry -- very dangerious -- and lastly, I think its WAY too expensive for the little affect it has (or any registry cleaner really) on the performance of my PC. Of couse, if the windows wasn't so dependant on databases to keep it functioning, we wouldn't need software like this at all.

"Does it work on XP?"
Version: Registry Cleaner 4

"TERRIBLE"
Version: Registry Cleaner 4
Cons
on vista this thing is horrible it slows down the computer and takes for ever to finish a scan not worth a download waste of time

"FREE TRIAL = 10 issues (of thousands) can be fixed with demo."
Version: Registry Cleaner 4
Pros
Looks cool; and has helpful features.
Cons
I would prefer "FREE TO TRY" registry editors to let their software demo resolve all found issues, rather than just first ten, so I can evaluate the overall performance improvement and decide if I want to buy for continued use.
-
"URGENT! TROJAN in this download"
Version: Registry Cleaner 4
Cons
URGENT! DO NOT DOWNLOAD
THIS DOWNLOAD CONTAINS A TROJAN, AS FLAGGED BY BOTH AVG AND NORTON ANTIVIRUS 2008.
I CAN'T FIND ANY 'CONTACT' INFO TO TELL CNET'S EDITORS.
