I deleted all the files off my camera's memory thinking I backed it up. well I didn't!!. Recuva was able to get the MAJORITY of the pictures back. - lesson learned. thanks recuva!!

Summary

For someone who is not computer savvy, the program may appear a little cumbersome.
It does bring back multiple copies of the file if you've made changes, so you need to be careful to restore which version you need. -

Summary
I used this on an SDHC card where the erased files had not been moved to the recycle bin on the card or on the computer. I was afraid that I had erased files that had not yet been transferred. Recuva's initial screen showed that the erased files were ones I had transferred, and put my mind at ease. There was no need to actually recover the files, so my rating is based on the installation, user interface, and ability to get the information from the SDHC card when there were no other options. I can hardly wait until I have a real problem! (~)

"I accidently deleted a 2 hr audio file on my Sansa Fuze mp3 player. I downloaded Recuva and within minutes the deleted file was restored. I highly recommend Recuva as a great way to restore lost files!"

Seems to work fast on a 750G ext hard drive

After several hours of scanning, it found over 360,000 files. However, after hitting the recover button and saving the files to another disk. not one of them were usable. All jpg, pdf, txt....etc were unreadable. And, there were some files it would not "recover".
Summary
I used Pandora and all the files it found and that I could recover to another disk before the program crashed worked just fine. Nothing was unreadable. Too bad Pandora keeps crashing.

Summary
It was a dark and stormy night when the blood sucking vampires grabbed my computer network. Zap ssssllluuuurrrrrrrppppp - hacked. My recovery took days and most files were deleted by the recovery operations. This program worked like a charm - better than the others I was using. It helped with the music in 1/2 time the others were taking.
Thanks for putitng this out there.
