Recently my computer got corrupted with a virus, it froze on me and I was unable to retrieve anything on it. I was desperate to get recover my stuff on it. I used my husband's computer to search for a solution online. I found Recuva. All I can say is, it worked beautifully. I was able to get everything back. Thanks so much!

This software is very simple to use - even for a computer tech illiterate like myself. I lost my website after my webhost screwed up and I didn't keep the backup on my desktop. I deleted is months ago. I even emptied my recycle bin. But after installing this program and using it, there it was and I got my website back :)
Summary
By far the easiest to use. I formatted my 3TB data drive containing over 10 years of photos and over 80,000 music files plus a lifetime of documents. My wife threatened to kill me over the photos. LOL Thank you for saving me. ECELLENT product and value!!! Believe me, I was a skeptic. Not anymore.

Easy to use and very effective - about 95% fully recovered in my case. Lots of info about the recovered files so it's easy to see which ones you lost, even if you can't access the full file. Gives an indication of how good the recovery was for each file.

All in all, a good piece of free software, though I would say if it's vital you recover as near to 100% as possible, shut the computer down before it overwrites too much and pay an expert!

When I researched Recuva, it had such positive reviews from users and was the highest rated- now I can see why. Recuva is unlimited in the amount of files you can recover and was the simplest and easiest application to download and interface with.
It worked perfectly! I was able to restore all my files and with such ease. In that moment, I was forever in love with Recuva. I would highly recommend this application and I give it the highest rating possible.Cons

Summary
I just wanted to make sure and take the time to write a positive review for Recuva. When something happens that is so devastating, such as deleting all my files that weren't backed up including irreplaceable interview video files, you remember it all clearly. I was desperate for help. Many of the supposedly "free" un-deleters have a limit on how many files you can recover for free and then they charge you (one often discovers this after already installing annoying app that puts toolbars on your browser, etc.) Recuva was saved me and was free, easy, fast and simple interface. I appreciated the integrity and honesty of this company.

"Worked Like a Charm on My Android Micro-SD Card"

Simple to install on my Windows 7 PC, Intuitive interface. Point to your selected drive/media via an explorer-type window and push "scan". There is an option for "deep scan" if there is a chance the data was over-written. After scanning, simply check the files you want to recover...one by one, or all at once. Shows files in green, yellow and red; meaning recoverable, maybe/partially or not at all. Nice "preview" pane, with file info tabs.

After finding my files the first time, I pressed the "recover" button and it said "ZERO" files recovered. I thought it was odd since I saw all my lost files in the preview pane. So I simply unchecked and rechecked all and hit the darn thing again, and whalla! recovered all 500+ pictures.
Summary
Awesome little program that worked great for me. I have lost data in the past and paid upwards of $1500 to a data recovery firm to get it back. If your drive is still FUNCTIONAL, this is definitely the way to go!!!
