"Easy to use"

Pros
Its quick to start and options are simple and understandble.
There are only minor settings and you would'nt expect anything else.
Cons
Would appriciate if it came with some more mp3 incoding software like Ogg Verbish and Lame.

Pros
Both Sound Recorder & WavePad were very easy to use. I'm not an expert on sound software, but it didn't take long to figure out.
Nice interface, worked well for converting .wav to .mp3.
Small program size. I did not use any of the other programs (Mixer, phone recorder, etc) and I only used this for the trial period, I did not buy it.
Cons
The installation included more than just the Sound Recorder.
Would like to have customized install, so I can choose whether I want a VoIP phone recorder or not, especially since I don't have VoIP!

"Don't be tricked!"

The product works well, is user friendly, and does not use an abundance of memory or hard disk space.
Cons
When you purchase the registration key for RecordPad, you are tricked to believe that you are purchasing the necessary licence to use both RecordPad and WavePad (the editing software that comes with it.) WRONG!!! To be able to edit, you must purchase another license for WavePad. I found out the hard way. The laws in America about deceptive marketing apparently do not apply to NCH, the Australian-based software company that sells this product!

simple works fine, but not worth any money.

i tried this out, thought it was nice and it worked fine.. I bought a 4 channel mixer and was testing it, recording on the pc... in the preferences i had specified the default save folder, cause i was saving the recordings in my working folder for my Reason 3 files because i was importing them into Reason... but the program was a little simple, i wanted more features so i figured id try something else... well when i uninstalled it, it deleted my entire reason folder.... MONTHS of work GONE!! most programs delete ONLY files and folders they create, but this POS deleted all my hard work and without even asking me. soooo just be very careful where you save your files, cause if you uninstall it, they will all be gone!

Summary
So far so good! Not bad at all. Fairly simple interface, a REALLY fast download and installation, really easy to use, lets you record multiple files and lists them all. One downside, its doesn't let you edit what you record (so you can't cut stuff out or do any fancy tricks). So if you're looking for just a simple recorder that can handle various sources, this is a perfect choice.
