From Realtek Semiconductor :Realtek AC'97 Drivers & Applications. The package includes: Driver/Application Setup Program; RtlRack for Win98/Me/2000/XP and AvRack for Win95/NT4; Realtek Sound Effect Manager. DirectX 8 is required to enable advanced features. Version A3.91 makes changes to the special customized settings and updates the Realtek 3D engine.

"Just downloaded this to my new computer and it works a treat"
Pros: The sound has improved with my Creative I-Trigue L3450's which is great as I was thinking of changing the onboard Realtek AC97 for an internal Creative Soundcard, that will save me some money. I had been looking for this update on Realtek's site but couldn't find it. Thanks Download.com for having it
Cons: Not to easy to change the driver. There is no Idiots guide to installing it

"Not signed; BSOD Windows Server 2003"
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Driver is not signed. I ignored warning, shortly after system gets Blue Screen. Happened twice. Luckily system rebooted ok.

"Don't use if you have a Laptop"
Pros: I have a relatively new Laptop. :) Dell Inspirion 9200. The best that i could get installed was installed by dell.
Cons: This program shut my computer down. It then erased over my original Program SigmaTel C-major. Without my original program, I couldn't hear sound. How to restore sound? Instructions: 1. Go to Sounds and Audio Devices in your Control Panel. 2. In your pop up screen, go to Hardware. 3. Double click on they original sound driver you had. It will give you four options. Choose the option to update. 4. Wait, this should restore your sound like mine.
