From Realtek Semiconductor :Realtek AC'97 Drivers & Applications. The package includes: Driver/Application Setup Program; RtlRack for Win98/Me/2000/XP and AvRack for Win95/NT4; Realtek Sound Effect Manager. DirectX 8 is required to enable advanced features. Version A3.81 fixes 8-channel noise issue for NVIDIA chipsets, update Realtek 3D engine and makes changes to the special customize settings.

"Does not work on my Toshiba Satellite"
Pros: Nothing to like. Support at Realtek was dismal. Basically, they said because the laptop uses a Cirrus Logic sound chip, they were not going to give any help. They lived up to that.
Cons: It crashed during driver update phase. Now I have no sound at all. Bummer. I tried during a restore to four differents dates, all of which failed. Now I have a totally silent laptop and my MP3's are useless.

"rtlRack & AvRack Will play ANY file, WHATSOEVER"
Pros: It will play any file you open, even EXE files and JPG files. Not really practical, but its fun to mess with.
Cons: Thats about all that its good for...
