  "Downloads OK. Seems to try to work. Alas. Failure."

  Pros

  It downloaded, and appears to be the same as the one on the Realtek site, which does not.

  Cons

  Fails. After the files unpack, and after the installer starts, it installs many files, then begins to "install the driver". Windows then complains that it cannot verify the publisher, and asks permission to continue. Endlessly.
