    Version: RealPlayer 11

"Can't even beat Windows Media Player"

by JoyceNgo on December 31, 2007

Pros: It plays certain files that other player normally don't support. It looks somewhat nice.

Cons: I didn't like this product because it consumes a lot of resources. I had RealPlayer years ago, and gave it a try again, and nothing has changed much except for the interface. Crashes still occur, strange user interface, high resource usage, and urber annoyance. It even says it there:

"Note: This version of the RealPlayer is recommended for US users only."

Which is also another reason why RealPlayer isn't as useful. Because 98% of the world can't even use it!

Ok dude im sorry but the dude who submitted the reply on this is retarded... I'm running Vista right now, I've gotten most of the bugs out myself and its a pretty damn good laptop for running games... I use real player for the simple matter of it can download videos. Other than that, most the time I use Windows Media Player. The problem is, there is no single player that can play every type of exstension. When I was modding video games a couple of months ago, I was having movie files being exported and none of my players could open it. All I have to say is to each his own. Its like Firefox and Internet Explorer... I use both and I also use Flock and Opera. It all depends on what your using it for and what you prefer to use.
