    "Had to junk RealPlayer altogether"

    April 21, 2014  |   By ilovenola2

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

    I suppose it looks pretty.

    Cons

All of the above commentors touch on these.

    Summary

My biggest peeve is the attempted forcing of "Cloud" on us. I uninstalled RealPlayer and Cloud (losing a couple of videos that it kept!) and will not use RealPlayer again until I can go back to the reliable previous, UN-"cloud"ed version!

    "Doesn't work. Period."

    April 15, 2014  |   By phuonom

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

    Everything it promises!

    Cons

It fails to deliver on a single one of those promises.

    Summary

Tried it on 2 different computers. Both rejected it. Login wasn't working. If I tried to use it without logging in it froze. I uninstalled and reinstalled. It still didn't work. It's a piece of crap. Which sucks because you can't use the old non-cloud Realplayer, which was a great program! I'm ticked off. I want my old Realplayer back. At least it worked.

"From version 15 to 17 was a killer downwards spiral"

    April 4, 2014  |   By stevecramer2

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

I don't need ten characters to summarize RealPlayer Cloud plus's: none! Its close to malware.

    Cons

I will not be pushed into putting my stuff on someone else's computer server. I want my things private and local: period.

    "Update = awful"

    April 4, 2014  |   By a__username

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

That I can write this review telling you how bad it is.

    Cons

Requires you to register an account. Will prompt you on startup every time you boot up your computer to register an account and sign in. You can't make those prompts go away.

The program doesn't even uninstall cleanly.

    Summary

Virtually any other video player is a better option. Real Player Cloud doesn't do anything for you that those other video players can't and they won't harass you to register an account or sign in. You can't uninstall the program completely afterwards. AVOID. It's not worth the trouble.

"Crash Not even Single time play"

    March 26, 2014  |   By neon_cool

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

Noting in this update except cloud version

    Cons

    Everything else

    Summary

I could not understand why these companies launch their product without tested. Just placing their spot in Cloud Based Player... Crap thing they do....

    "not worth the trouble"

    March 21, 2014  |   By baddy_3-

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

    - nice interface, pretty standard nothing out-of-the-box
    - nice visualizations

    Cons

    - adding large library crashes the damn thing . after all these years it still can't do this one basic thingy

    - poor sound quality. decent equalizers need payment .

    - poor file association management for windows 7. every media player worth its salt does this through "Default Programs" section.

    - limited file format support.

    - install/uninstall isn't clean.
    leftover registry entries.
permanently messes up windows sound schemes ('start navigation' sound is removed from every scheme, even after uninstall). why even bother to do these annoying things?

    - customizing columns in library section is a nightmare. why bother adding so many fields nobody cares about.

    Summary

always had a lot of potential to be a good all-in-one-media-player.
but for every feature it has, there is another media player which does that job far better.
not to mention numerous annoying things mentioned above. this piece of software just can't grow up. even the once-erratic vlc player has come such a long way over the years.

P.S. if the focus is exclusively on online content, stick to the damn website instead of spoiling computers with crappy software.

    Pros

    absolutely nothing

    Cons

    Summary

Keep old realplayer never upgrade to cloud
