    Summary

If you are mobile user or have limited data plans you will love your data bill, RealCloud forces, without anyway to turn off Cloud, RealCloud uploads all your media files, I dumped Real on all my devices and installed VLC, I will never look back to RealJUNK, if you want ALL your media in a unsecure Cloud you will love this version, a hackers and spies dream program.

    "cranky install"

    May 14, 2014  |   By davidfoxitreader

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

They promise everything, and much of it works.
    RealPlayer help tries to help.
Its library features have been excellent.

    Cons

In spite of what it says here, there appears to be no Windows 7 or 8 version. The Real.com still says
"RealPlayer Cloud isn't on This Operating System Yet", yet I continue to get annoying notices to upgrade ReelPlayer.

The installation is aggressive. It annoyingly takes over default player. I will start Real when I need its features, mainly its library.

    "ANNOYING!!"

    May 7, 2014  |   By HamptonPR

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

    Plays SOME media files.

    Cons

Aggressive installations, uninvited popups, and insidious Registry rewrites.
Unable to play media files, due in part to constantly changing file formats.

    Summary

"In order for your browser to display the following paragraph this site must download new software; please wait. Sorry, the requested codec was not found. Please upgrade your system." That's the best quote related to this software I have ever found and it's true!
It takes liberties such as installing itself as the default media player, does what it wants to your Windows Registry, popping up annoying "messages" that are ads, and on and on.

    "cnet in real's pocket"

    May 4, 2014  |   By rahscoh

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

    cloud prison

    Cons

    realplayer cloud

    Summary

I've noticed of late how user opinions are being slighted! Are CNET editor reviewers like Ben Markton being greased for favorable plugs? It truly appears that way! CNET seems no longer neutral in regards to this subject.

    "Had to junk RealPlayer altogether"

    April 21, 2014  |   By ilovenola2

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

    I suppose it looks pretty.

    Cons

All of the above commentors touch on these.

    Summary

My biggest peeve is the attempted forcing of "Cloud" on us. I uninstalled RealPlayer and Cloud (losing a couple of videos that it kept!) and will not use RealPlayer again until I can go back to the reliable previous, UN-"cloud"ed version!

    "Doesn't work. Period."

    April 15, 2014  |   By phuonom

    Version: RealPlayer Cloud 17.0.15.10

    Pros

    Everything it promises!

    Cons

It fails to deliver on a single one of those promises.

    Summary

Tried it on 2 different computers. Both rejected it. Login wasn't working. If I tried to use it without logging in it froze. I uninstalled and reinstalled. It still didn't work. It's a piece of crap. Which sucks because you can't use the old non-cloud Realplayer, which was a great program! I'm ticked off. I want my old Realplayer back. At least it worked.
