The document was 100dpi greyscale with 10pt Arial, and probably not a single word was spelled right in the program's output, and the text size and alignment was not correct even though the layout of the original was simple and had no extra columns. ABBYY FineReader worked nearly perfect on the same scanned documents (I tried that one next).

I did not have any problems installing the software, nor with running it. The wizard is most helpful for new users and the interface is quite user-friendly. Detection is adequate, but can be beefed up by changing the settings and selecting specific types of detection and specific areas to be read.
Cons
Make sure that you install the PDF import filter if you are using PDFs, as it is not installed under the default trial install setting. I had to re-install because of this, but it took maybe two minutes to both uninstall and re-install - not a major problem.

This program took more than 20 minutes to INSTALL, took up tons of resources once it was installed, and then didn't work as well as other programs tested, and took more than twice as long. This program may have functionality or services that are valuable to some, but for me, using it at home, it was worse than useless. Even as I write this, it's taking almost 20 minutes to UNINSTALL. More trouble than it was worth.
