It's easy to use, includes a nice little graphical progress interface, and can download dozens of files completely unattended.
Cons
Tends to become intrusive between downloads. When checking on the availability of the next download, it becomes the active process which tends to interfere with other things you might be doing. A minor irritant, not enough to outweigh its benefits.
Summary
You copy the RapidShare URLs to the clipboard, RS Downloader grabs them automatically, you click to start the downloads and let it do its thing! No more checking availability, wait times, or progress.
All in all, RapidShare Downloader is one of the best ideas to come out of the file-sharing community. Although limited only to files found on RapidShare (would be nice if it worked with other file-share sites, as well), it does its job well.
If it weren't for its minor intrusiveness and RapidShare limitations, RapidShare Downloader would warrant a full 5 stars, easy. -

This does just what it says it does. If you just want something that gets your rapdishare free downloads, without sitting there waiting for the timer to time out and then having to manually start the downloads....then get this software.
Cons
None. The above mentioned cons (for me) are some improvements, but not really "cons".
Summary
I have Windows XP with SP3. The software seems to work flawlessly. Here is how I've used it:
1. I've gone to a web site, highlighted and copied a single link and it was automatically pasted into the downloader.
2. I've got a list of donwloads in a text file. I've copied the entire list at once and it too was automatically pasted into the downloader.
3. I've used the ADD option, pasted in a text file whose links were on one line, separated with commas, and all those were added to the downloader.
4. After the links are in the downloader, hit the Start button, thats it. The program starts with the first file in the list and attempts a single download every couple of minutes. After a success, it moves on to the next one.
My downloads seem to be about double the speed I was getting just using the built in browser file transfer (Firefox).
The only thing I've found bad (annoying) with the program was an easy fix. There is a small progress window that stays on the screen, on top of everything, no matter what you open. This screen can be removed by deselecting "Show Info Window" in the settings menu.
If you don't like this program it comes with its own uninstall icon. I haven't tried that though because I am very pleased with it.
