Version: QuickTime 7.4.1
"You need the player to play MOV, otherwise it's worthless!"
Cons: It keeps nagging you to upgrade to the paid version, installs an updater, and tries to install other products you didn't ask for. You only need this piece of junk to play Apple's proprietary, annoying, and closed MOV format.

iTunes refuses to open unless you reinstall this piece of crappy spyware. If you have an early version of iTunes so you can legally buy music , and then 'illegally' convert it to mp3 because you don't, or won't buy an iPod, it will try to destroy your configuration and install a later version. This is because Herr Jobs ignores your choice to not install the updater. The only good thing that can be said about this garbage is it makes Bill look like a raving left wing libertine loony- quite a feat!

Even though I opted OUT for the updater, it ignored my choice and downloaded it anyway and tried to run in the background which to me, constitutes for spyware! Of course I deleted that particular file as well as the other crap files I didnt' need nor did I ask for. It's file size is also unusually larger than the others, and I prefer JetAudio over Quicktime and YES! even RealPlayer with it's supposed 'spyware' is superior to Quicktime. In my humble opinion, Quicktime is pretty much a useless program and the only reason why I even HAVE it is so that I can view .MOV files.
