    Version: QuickTime 7.3.1

    "Very intrusive and annoying player!"

by JoyceNgo on December 31, 2007

    Pros: Nice interface.

Cons: QuickTime is one of those default players put into Mac systems, however it's very intrusive on Windows too! Although this player has a nice interface, there are other better media players that look good as well and uses less resources than QuickTime. QuickTime is also necessary to install when using iTunes. It's almost like a forced product just for Apple to gain more hits on QuickTime (one of those players that are not even useful. I'd hate to say it but even Windows Media Player does a better job!)

When I also had this installed with iTunes, I decided to uninstall it (iTunes does NOT function without QuickTime), other than that, QuickTime was and IS not very useful. I asked it to close the system tray icon, and it still came back up permanently on every startup. Disabled its services, and yet it still runs. It's like I am being stalked. And worst of all, I uninstalled it, and it was still stuck on my Add/Remove Programs with no file size or any info. I had to use go through a whole journey just to find a way to remove it!

    I'd stay away from this!

it should be illegal to piggybacked software. Windows media player was fine. It even gave me a full screen, and it was free. I like my iPod, but not at the additional expense of $25 to get a decent video player that offers full screen. I've uninstalled and reinstalled QuickTime, about six times now just to watch a full screen video with Windows media player. There must be a way around the intrusive behavior of this stupid little program.

    Anybody have ideas.

I agree,I'd stay away from this!!
