Cons
I clicked on a song & brought up a install screen. Then after I installed it I clicked on the song to try to play it & it brought a screen to install QT repeatedly. This program does have a QT configuring screen, but without a QT player it's useless.

It is stable, easy to use and plays movies very well.

Sometimes it won't play things on Apples Website, but most of the time it does.
Summary
Why don't we hear more people complain about Quicktime? That program has been a bloated nightmare for years now, and the free version lacks some of the most basic functions. I was so happy to find an alternative to quicktime. Ironically I found this program because Quicktime began to freeze up my Mac. I had already given up using Quicktime on my PC, but my iMac? I had enough and tried this and I have been very pleased. It use less system resources and is much more stable. You also do not get those annoying windows encouraging you to upgrade to pro like you do in the real Quicktime. I wish more poeple knew about this.

If you had'nt heard, Apple software (any) and updates for Windows is MALWARE and SPYWARE Example, if you stupidly installed iTunes on your PC, Apple TRACKS your music listening choices AND the new update sneaks Buggy and Security Dangerous Safari browser onto your PC, WITHOUT asking your permission .... Keep ANY Apple crapple off your PC!

Pros
Small footprint, but works better than Quicktime. I installed this when my Quicktime somehow became screwed up and I couldn't uninstall it. This has worked great. Works for both independent Quicktime programs and those embedded in Web pages.
Cons
None so far.

Installed it, and so far so good. I would encourage other users to try it, and leave their feedback here.
My system is a Windows XP SP2 clean install (no upgrades). This is important because most programs are tested with clean installs, not upgrades from previous Operating Systems like Windows 98 SE or even Windows 2000. So when people with these upgraded OSs try software, it may blow in their faces and then it gets bad reviews, or endless tech support calls that go nowhere.
Have not tried the Media Player Classic, but this guy works just fine as is.
I have a strong impression that this software will work just as well as the real QuickTime, but without pesky naggings or system tray processes that need not be there at all.
