You can nearly script and control anything what is available on your system.

"Excellent and Powerful Macro Software"
Version: Quick Macros 2.1.6 build 1
Pros
This is such a versatile and powerful application, that I sometimes wonder why I never thought to look for something like it before! When I finally started looking for a "macro program", I tried out a few, not liking the limited "recording ability" of one, and not liking the interface of another... Then I found Quick Macros, and I was in heaven with it. It's ability to create macros by manually coding them, or by recording actions, was amazing. It also has a simple interface, and the ability to save and organize your own custom macros. This is exactly what I had been looking for!
Learning how to make your own macros is really quite easy, even for complete novices, as there are many example macros included with the program. For advanced users, the macro language this program employs is so similar to C-based languages that you will feel right at home (it even color codes the macro text while you write it, just like Visual Studio!).
I said the program was versatile, and I wasn't kidding! I have used this program to create macros ranging from running through a series of menus and picking specific options (opening a menu in Microsoft Word, or Excel that does not have a hotkey) to pulling off difficult combos in fighting games (for when you faceoff against that impossible boss!) The practical applications of this program can save you so many mouse clicks and button presses, and more importantly, time! If you would normally perform actions that can be defined (as specific button or mouse presses) many times in a computer session, then it is ridiculous to not have a macro-performing program at your disposal.
This program also has the ability to export macros to a file, so that in the event of a program failure, or a hard drive format, or if your taking macros from home to work, you will be able to import them into the program as long as you have the exported file!
Cons
All good things must come to an end, and sure enough it did... the trial period I mean! Being shareware, the program comes with a 30-day free trial period. I installed the software, and before I knew it, that month had gone by! Once the trial period is over, you will be unable to run macros. However, you will still be able to open the program and create and save macros until you decide to get your registration code!
Joking aside, however, there really wasn't anything about the program I truly disliked. This program is an absolute joy to use for both my practical (work-related) and my leisure (computer gaming) purposes. I recommend this to anyone who has to perform specific actions repeatedly during the day.
Conclusion? Five stars, hands down.

"Excellent"
Version: Quick Macros 2.1.6 build 1
Pros
This program is very well put together. It is extremely helpful while multitasking. I have been using it for about 2 weeks. I am very pleased. It is a wonderful program and I would highly recommend it.
Cons
It is a little bit hard to start with, but it is easier as you make more macros.

"The Best Labour Saving Prog I've Ever Owned!"
Version: Quick Macros 2.1.6 build 1
Pros
I've been using Quick Macros for several years now and I don't think I could do half of the things I do with out it.
In my job, I have it performing: file transfers; downloading files from the internet; monitoring folder access; backing up entire directories along with sub-directories based on the archive bit; entering canned email responses; creating 63 character random keys for WPA security; and so many other things I can't begin to even give you a tenth of what I use it for.
At home, I use it to: communicate to other players while playing Halo PC online; to get pesky program-windows out of the way; to pull up websites and logon to them automatically.
It is very robust but easy enough to use for the amateur; I highly recommend it.
Cons
Can seem intimidating at first but can be overcome by the built in programming helps.

"Perfecto."
Version: Quick Macros 2.1.6 build 1
Pros
Cons
Ninguna.

"Universally and Unrestrictedly Powerful"
Version: Quick Macros 2.1.6 build 1
Pros
Think of ten things that could be done by hand in Windows. Now imagine an all-in-one software solution capable of fitting onto a single floppy diskette that could do even the most complex Windows tasks automatically and with a creativity limited only by the imagination. Want to spring open Notepad when the third pixel from the left on your monitor turns cyan? Quick Macros handles it with ease, and that's just the beginning. For novice users, creating macros is as easy as assigning simple tasks to a single key. Advanced users would feel at home with the intuitive built-in programming language reminiscent of C code, a complex regular expression pattern matching engine, even something called "text sensitivity" that converts short keystrokes into longer words or phrases. Typing out one’s home address, for example, becomes as simple as instructing Quick Macros to substitute your address when you type something like "homeaddr”. For the novices among you, fear not -- the built-in help system is anything but intrusive and is clearly enough written that even you could yield powerful macros in as little as a few minutes. Not only that, but the author’s hyper vigiliance makes this software a support dream; there are no intermediary support goons here. This software was designed to be used by a wide technical demographic -- novices and experts alike. // The software operates on a memory footprint rarely exceeding five megabytes of RAM. It works flawlessly and unrestrictedly in every application, full screen ones too, and at a priority up to realtime. No Windows admin should be without this software, considering the author recently included the ability to launch macros over any network. With a bit of creative flair, any resourceful admin could code up a virtually self-maintainable network with this software. As a gamer, I could also vouch for the software's ability to reduce complex menu tasks to mere keystrokes. I would highly recommend this software to players of online roleplaying games.
Cons
There are absolutely none. Anything I could possibly think of that could be done in Windows can be done automatically with this software. There is a zero mind-to-macro restriction here. If it's possible by hand, it's possible through Quick Macros. The software is priceless, and more than worth its thirty-dollar asking price. The software is shareware with a very generous 45-day trial period -- more than enough time to decide if it suits your purposes. There is no question that this is the most powerful Windows-baseed automation tool that exists. Bar none. Elegantly-coded to appeal to the geek in you and simple enough to appeal to everyone else. It delivers powerfully because it digs into Windows at a depth unmatched by any other automation tool. It's a highly-recommended five star offering. A real gem.

"Absolute Power"
Version: Quick Macros 2.1.1
Summary
I've tried almost every macro app out there, and for sheer power and flexibility, this one wins hands down. It's not as easy to use, and not as pretty as the "commercial" packages, so you'll need a bit of savvy, but it blows away the competition. Kicks dust in the face of QuicKeys. Well worth the $30.
