"Totally Messed w/ Win Media Player 9"
Version: Quartz AudioMaster Freeware 4.6
Summary
This sounded like a wonderful program to download BUT...After I did Some extension or file was changed in Windows Media 9 making all my mp3 files unplayable with that player. I had to re-download the WHOLE player (60 minutes plus) and delete the download. NO INTERFACE SHOWED. What did I do wrong I dont know. Any suggestions? I have a few other mp3 players and they all played my music files. So if it can be fixed, hell I'd give it another shot!

"Couldn't get a peep out of it!"
Version: Quartz AudioMaster Freeware 4.6
Summary
Far too complicated unless you're a midi buff.
I could not make it do anything at all.
Problems included:
Would not open the next day.
Would not uninstal properly.
Would not let me restart my computer to clear settings so I could uninstal it.
I know it's free, but I found it a nightmare and I am mightily relieved to see the back of it. I'm just hoping I haven't damaged anything else during a messy manual uninstal.
If, like me you just want to record via line in, microphone or from the web I'd recommend "3D MP3 Sound Recorder" on the "Rippers & Encoders" page. Very simple and does what it says on the tin. -

"Nice Simple Program"
Version: Quartz AudioMaster Freeware 4.6
Summary
I'm currently running this software on two computers. My home computer (1.8GHz, 512MB PC2700, Live!5.1 Sound Card) and my laptop (2.0GHz, 256MB PC2700, On board sound). This software is excellent for simple multi track audio and midi recording. I often use a direct link through my soundcard to record Piano, Guitar, and Vocals. Unfortunetly, the effects are scarse and this program has some shareware features, but what do you expect for a free program? One of the best fetures of this program is the ability to mix tracks instead of replacing them. This means that you can record as many times as you want with as many different song parts as you want, althought this can be a little confusing on the interface. For simple multitrack audio recording, this is brilliant.

"What the..."
Version: Quartz AudioMaster Freeware 4.6
Summary
I don't believe it! It wouldn't even install! I mean it would go to 100 percent then it would hide in the background, but other than that, nothing! And before anyone says its because of PC, I have things MUCH more complicated than this program, so spare me. UNLESS someone can tell me whats up, then I think this program sucks!

"Powerful.... and free"
Version: Quartz AudioMaster Freeware 4.6
Summary
You won't find a better free program out there. It's not perfect, and some of the features are awkward to use, but the bottom line is that you can get this little program to do just about whatever you need as far as midi composition goes.

"Nobody Likes A Liar"
Version: Quartz AudioMaster Freeware 4.6
Summary
I swear most of these positive user opinions are from the developers. I mean think about it, why would faithful users come back and rate this product? Seems fish to me...
First of all, this is NOT freeware, as it becomes only partially usable after an undetermined "trial" period. If they're going to advertize this as freeware then the pop-up after shutting the program down is fine, but if it's shareware... this isn't excusable.
As far the program itself goes, you should never have to pay for the thing in the first place. This is like a practice creation. There's no pan, you can't effect any of the soundwaves, if you wish to edit even the VOLUME it has to be done in the recording process. If this were free, sure, I'd buy it, but it's not a very good program.
