    "Fabulous utility for director/producer/editor notes."

    April 5, 2010  |   By alex858974

    Version: QT Movie NoteTaker .5

    Pros

This is a great solution for a lot of things: notes to editors, notes to producers, notes from clients, notes from teachers to film students, etc.

    Cons

Would be great if some of the traditional key commands like" jkl "worked and the tab key moved you back and forth from the movie to the notes. A couple of minor tweaks and it is 5 stars for sure.

    Summary

I love it. I will use it a lot. And I will buy a pro version if it comes out. Very, very useful!

    "NoteTaker versus LoopyLoopX"

    May 6, 2006  |   By jlvalero

NoteTaker does very well what it offers.
Before everyone, LoopyLoopX had TimeCode doubleclicking.
If you need offset (positive or negative), macros, looping (for difficult passages), silence detection, pedal implementation and much more, try the venerable ancestor at:

This program is amazing for making notes on edits. Once you learn the keyboard shortcuts, you can work pretty fast.

Can't wait for the Pro version.

"works well for what it does"

    May 5, 2006  |   By Quevar

    Version: QT Movie NoteTaker .5

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm making a movie with my fiance and needed to get her thoughts about certain sequences and this makes it much easier.

I don't understand why you force the screen size to be larger than the 12 inch screen resolution (1024 wide). Why can't it scale down all the way - that is one major disappointment to me - 1 star taken off.

Also, would it be possible to load the notes back into the program and automatically go there in the movie. I couldn't find that feature after looking for a little while.
