Dreamscene Video Wallpaper is an animated wallpaper creator with a compact, simple, but functional interface that's very easy to comprehend and navigate.
There are no tabs or other dialog boxes to access. All its features are accessible from the one small window, which is a plus for this otherwise uninspired design. The nag screen--we must admit--is irritating, because not only does it pop up each time Dreamscene completes its playlist rotation, it occasionally slaps a "Don't Forget to Register!" message in the middle of the playing video. Despite this hard-to-miss promotional call to action, this nifty little app performed well during our tests, responding quickly to our commands. It was very easy to set up and use. Selecting existing video files from your hard drive and organizing categories to rotate the playlist style was simply a matter of a few clicks and keystrokes. We liked the inclusion of a button for visiting Dreamscene's Web site and downloading from a large number of landscape, underwater, and CGI animated videos to use as wallpaper. The breadth of the selection should please most users. Selecting the frequency for videos to change was simple, as was selecting the play mode, which we were pleased includes a Random option, which is similar to shuffle on a CD player.
The nag screen really is a drag with this app. However, the price tag isn't so scary that it will frighten away most users.
From PUSH Entertainment:
With PUSH Video Wallpaper you can greatly enhance your desktop by playing videos and gif animations as background wallpaper. It's similar to the dreamscene feature of Windows Vista Ultimate. But with PUSH Video Wallpaper, you can have the dreamscene effect for any version of Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 7. You can create playlists of your favorite videos. It's also a video screensaver which will show your favorite videos when your computer is not used.
If you have to reinstall after a year for any reason at all and have not payed for the re-registration your screwed. this product will not reinstall. They say it is for "support" which is crap. Their support is crap. They rarely ever release software patches for this program and this one in particular has a very large list of "known issues" so in short buyer beware.
I personally recommend going the route of installing Dreamscape on your computer as it IS free and developed by Microsoft and there are plenty of tutorials on how to set it up. Also there isn't a reoccurring $20 fee every year to run the program.
this is a very good product with lots of options for video wallpaper
Dreamscene was only on Windows Vista Utimate, you cannot have it on Windows 7, Windows XP or other versions of Windows Vista without hacks, so normal people dont want to use hacks!
this is a very good product with lots of options and it seems that it is faster than original Dremscene on Windows Vista Ultimate
This product is another rip off for people who do not know how to use the internet. Microsoft has developed dreamscene originally.
You can get dreamscene from Microsoft for free. it was originally built for vista but many people including myself built patches and installers to make the Microsoft dreamscene work on any non ultimate system. ya i do hand it to PUSH that there version lags less then dreamscene but just recently many people found ways to increase the speed of computers and run dreamscene at the same time. For example my version of dreamscene "dreamscene speed" uses the mystring script which allows you to use reserved segments of your ram.
so in all DREAMSCENE IS ORIGINALLY BUILT BY MICROSOFT AND IS INTENDED TO BE FREE.
