This overwrites pure-ftpd setup files even when canceling the early stages of the Setup Wizard, AND installs a separate startup daemon during this stage, which an app is not supposed to until you agree to all the setup parameters in a Wizard - bad, bad, bad. -

... and, this app appears to work very well. I set it up in moments, tested it successfully. I'll admit to seeing some things I have no idea about, but, all I wanted was done. -

This has enabled me to do something I *really* wanted to do but didn't have the brains to accomplish!
And it does it so well -
* It's a doddle to install
* A piece of cake to manage users and accounts
* It gives clear examples to explain what options mean
* It's beautifully presented
* Got such a great UI
* It's even got an uninstall button right there on the main page (Other developers - Please take note!).
* And man alive ... it's free!
Well done and thankyou. I feel a PayPal donation coming on!

I needed a simple to setup, fast ftp server that did not cost big bucks. I also needed support for aliases (or virtual directories) for ftp users. This product installed easily, has a clean interface, and is working without a problem. -

Been using it since April (about 5 months now). Reliable, easy to work with.
Allows FTP only users to be setup in about 1 minute.
The only thing I've had problems with is the bandwidth limiting (or speed limit) when I set it, it doesn't seem to take.
I'm still playing with this feature, probably just something I've done wrong.
Other then that issue, just a few minor GUI related things would rate it 5 stars =)
(in the main window you can expand an account to show specific connections and monitor progress, but if you hit the refresh button, it collapses this back down, minor, but it would be nice if it remembered it's state) -

It workâ??s great with apache2 under MacOS X 10.3.2 . But if i stopped the FTP-Server, my Network is still down, no access to my router and my email accounts.
If i started it again all work's fine. Is it a little BUG? -
