Version: Protector Plus for Windows 7.2.H86
Pros: I have been using this for several years. Installed on many machines of novice users. Updates happen automatically if set on whatever frequency you set. It has picked up viruses quickly in the past when viruses ran in the wild more freely. Lately, with many service providers scanning email, the program runs quietly in the background without obvious RAM hogging. I'm always surprised how much is written about Norton and others that slow older machines to a crawl and this winner is not reviewed.

Version: Protector Plus for Windows 8.0.C01
Pros: The most complete, easy to use virus protection I have ever used. Automatic updates, runs in background without notice and prohibits access to sites with problems. Great all in one for worms, trojans, viruses, and spam.
Cons: No cons for this program.

Version: Protector Plus for Windows 8.0.C01
Pros: In my opinion, this is the best anti-virus program you can buy. It is light on resource consumption and does a thorough job of keeping your computer safe. Renew your subscription for like twelve bucks a year. What's not to like?
Cons: They could use a bolder font in Scan Results, but that is just a personal preference because of my older eyes.
Summary: Go with Protector Plus if you are sick of the bloatware being "offered" by the big guys; Symantec, McAfee and PCTools. I think you'll be pleased with this program. Note: Version 8.0.D02 is now available. (It's just as good as ever.) read more
