Publisher's description of Programmer's File Editor (32-bit)
From Alan Phillips:Programmer's File Editor is a 32-bit text editor primarily oriented toward program developers. Though it contains features such as the ability to run compilers and development applications, it also makes a good general-purpose editor for any other function. Features include multilevel undo, active buttons on a tear-off toolbar, automatic C-aware indenting, Unix file support, remappable keys, keyboard macros, and more.
While this file is still available, the developer is no longer updating or supporting this product.

Version: Programmer's File Editor (32-bit) 1.01
"Awesome replacement for notepad"
Pros: Whether coding by hand or editing a huge text file this is a great tool. It will open files that notepad chokes on. Macros and templates make this one a winner

Version: Programmer's File Editor (32-bit) 1.01
"Great for Editing English Files"
Pros: Edits large text files simultaneously without the fuss.
Cons: Lacks support for non-English character encoding. In this respect, it is inferior to Notepad.

Version: Programmer's File Editor (32-bit) 1.01
"Great - very useful - simple text editor replacement for other WINTEL editors"
Pros: cna write / save code files for unix systems from my PC and not have those stupid ^M characters in the file from a wintel machine. (Avoiding to use vi to replace the windows CR LF charaters at the end of every line.)
Love being able to configure as I like colors, line numbering and printer preferences.
