Despite some drawbacks, Process Manager 2 Lite has two major advantages over the Windows Task Manager.
First, it doesn't make you view processes in a tiny window. The interface is wide and professional-looking, with buttons on the top and the bottom of the panel to help you navigate through the task-managing minefield. Second, it offers a wide range of options that the preinstalled manager lacks. Process Manager 2 Lite lets you see a list of dependent modules for each process. It also shows you the amount of memory that a process is using, the associated processes, lets you kill a process outright, and more. Less important but still useful: You can save the process list in a log file.
However, the app can't display the process tree. Its program window no longer flickers as in the old version, but trying to drill deeper into a process often causes program crashes. On top of all that, Process Manager consumes 45MB of RAM, which is an astonishing amount for such a tiny utility. All things considered, although this version has seen significant improvements, you're probably better off finding another freeware utility to manage your system processes.
