"It's an excellent product"
Version: Process Lasso 3.64.3
Pros
Does exactly what it says and what I want which is to regulate the cpu usage.
Cons
It's not necessarily intuitive to change the process the way you want it to be.
Summary
I really like this program!

"Computer 'Congestion' soled..."
Version: Process Lasso 3.46.2
Pros
Automatic or lots of features for tweakers, nice interface, new features added frequently.
Cons
Moving graph makes interface a little too jumpy for me but other that that minor issue Process Lasso has no cons that I experienced. I've used it since Februar 2008.
Summary
In its day my PC was one of the fastest things out there-- that day was five year ago. Now with Vista and other new software fighting to suck every tiny bit of power from the old box, my Corvette has turned into a familty sedan so to speak. This software is like a traffic cop. It stops resource hogs from slowing down your entire machine. If you have more than one processor it will balance the load to spread the resources around and temporarily lower the priority on programs that jump in and try to take over the place. Process Lasso can do it on its own or for users like me that like to tinker ad squeeze every bit of performance out of your PC you can djust until your fingers hurt. There are way too many features to go on about here. Download the evaluation version and use it-- nothing I say here will convince you better than you giving it a test drive. I recommend Process Lasso especially for people that need to improve performance on a slower or older machine AND for geeky types that like to crawl under the engine and tweak their hearts out.
Edit: MAke that "Computer Congestion SOLVED" -- not 'Soled'. Sorry about that!

"Ouch"
Version: Process Lasso 3.02
Pros
the idea
Cons
It didn't control the one program I wanted it too (A&B) and it seemed to upset Explorer and the jury's still out but probably was responsible for a Blue Screen: PFN LIST CORRUPT. So uninstalled

"GREAT PROGRAM FOR MANAGEING YOUR SYSTEM"
Version: Process Lasso 2.68
Pros
The ability to tweak priorities of execution for every service is a great help to have a fast system, Putting some programs on the bottom of the priority list helps get these resource HOGS out of the way. Also a good way to use the 2nd CPU on these Intel Duos (& quattros) which I've noticed really don't do much otherwise..
Cons
can't find anything I don't like
